I'm waiting for my ride to the airport, and in the meantime, I thought I'd post some final pictures.

On Monday there was a large anti-Israel/US demonstration in Helsinki. It was a funny crowd: women in chaudors, Finns carrying IKEA bags and talking on cell phones, angry young Arab men, and an international array of hippies. The march stopped in front of the Hotel Kamp, which is housing the European Commissioners (Finland currently holds the presidency of the EU). The Eurocrats looked none too pleased to have their afternoon apertifs disturbed.



I've enjoyed wandering around the lively food market right on the main port.

Mmm... root veggies!
