snow day
After a very mild December and January, it is winter here! It snows almost every day. The snow itself is restful and very pleasant, but within hours it's transformed into a muddy, black mess better viewed from inside. Fortunately, I had planned to spend the day reading in bed, so this works well for me today!
Unfortunately, the snow still can't make the factory outside my window look pretty. The vines, by the way, are grape vines! In October, they produced plump, sweet grapes. I ate a few, but I was turned off by the fact that they were black from dirt and pollution. I'll stick to the expat grocery store, which will gladly sell you a bunch imported from Turkey for $10.
