While I'm at it, I have a good bride-related story of my own: I was propositioned by a marriage agency this week! A man approached me on the street and asked if I wanted a "man for life"--and an American green card. I was too surprised to come up with a witty response. I'm not sure whether this means that I look local, or just homely. Probably the latter--the guy saw me, with glasses, no makeup, no stilettos, no pink sequined purse, and thought that I was doomed to remain an old maid in Ukraine.
